Summerset Scene magazine

For two years I was the editor of Summerset Scene, the in-house magazine for New Zealand-owned retirement village operator, Summerset Group Holdings. With a print run of 20,000 copies, the glossy quarterly magazine is delivered to village residents, prospective residents, and the general public through distribution baskets at selected supermarkets.

Featuring resident stories, Summerset news and village happenings, the magazine is a valuable stakeholder engagement tool for this major NZX-listed company. But more than that, it flies in the face of negative stereotypes about aging, celebrates the wisdom of our older people and showcases the vibrancy of Summerset village life.
